Security deposit is $750 and refundable within two weeks of departure if property and contents are not damaged and contents are not stolen. Security Deposit also applies to any proven damage on association property, e.g. Rec Hall.
50% of rental payment plus security deposit is due with reservation. Remaining balance is due no later than 60 prior to arrival date.
Cancellation policy is: 100% refund within 90 days notice; 75% refund with 60 days notice; 50% with 30 days notice; 0% thereafter or negotiable.

- The water is pumped up from the lake and does not have the water pressure that you may be used to....but who cares - after swimming in Kezar Lake - you feel squeaky clean!

Westways - Rules and Regulations: The Westways Association has very strict rules that are enforced by the property owners in order to protect the ambiance of the community. Most Westways owners do not rent their properties. Please respect these rules so owners and guests traveling from around the country can enjoy their vacations. A copy of the rules will be sent to with your receipt. A summary of things you should know: Between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. motor boats should run their motors quietly so guests can enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. The historic rec hall is accessible from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The speed limit on all Westways roads is 15 miles an hour. Please respect all rules posted at the Tennis Court - especially sign up. Cell phone access is limited since the lake area borders the national forest.
Westways Boating: Boats must be used daily in order to be tied to one of the docks, otherwise they need to be on my mooring at the north dock. It is advised that boats are put on a mooring during storms for the protection of all boats and the docks. Jet skiis and jet boats are not allowed at Westways and are discouraged by the Lake Association in order to protect wildlife (loons) and keep the noise down. Dock all canoes and small boats on the slips closest to the shore. The outer slips need to be free for larger boats.
Maine Laws and Fines: It is advisable that all Maine lake, boating and fishing laws are understood and followed. The lake association hires a full time warden who lives on the lake, patrols daily and has the power to levy significant fines. If you are unfamiliar with these laws, you can pick up brochures at the town hall down the road on Route 5. You can also get fishing licenses giving you access to the many lakes and rivers in the area. The Androscoggin River is in Bethel and has been brought back to life, offering great fishing and canoing. Saco River is also only 15 minutes away. Please wash down your boat and motor before putting it in any lake or river. There is a significant fine if your boat has any invasive plant species on it. There is also a fine for not having a life jacket on board for each person on the boat or canoe.
