Aspen Retreat is a new luxury home located on the exclusive North Star Nature Preserve, less than 3 miles east of downtown Aspen, Colorado. Aspen Retreat was designed by a local artist with meticulous attention to detail -- massive windows facing the North Star Nature Preserve, 30+ foot ceilings, granite counters, 2 jacuzzi baths, 2 fire places, state of the art appliances, and radiant heated Brazilian cherry floors throughout. Aspen Retreat sits on a stream in the North Star Nature Preserve feeding the Roaring Fork River! It's like living in a National Park, while being 2 miles from the heart of Aspen town. During the winter, you can even ski home down the backside of Aspen Mtn! Guests can kayak/canoe on the river, cross country ski the trails in the Preserve, or walk/bike the East of Aspen Trail into town or up to Difficult. Wildlife viewing, including herons and elk, is part of daily life at Aspen Retreat.

Aspen Retreat is located 2.5 miles east of downtown Aspen on the North Star Nature Preserve. Heading up Highway 82 toward Independence Pass, the house is on the right side of the road before Wildwood. The East of Aspen trail connects Aspen Retreat with town and the rest of Aspen's trail system making for a stunningly beautiful walk or bike ride into town. The East of Aspen trail also continues east of the house toward Independence Pass all the way to Difficult Campground/Trailhead. You can also launch a raft, kayak, or canoe right from the property and wind down the Roaring Fork River! In the winter, experienced skiers can ski directly home down the backside of Aspen Mountain. And the North Star Nature Preserve surrounding the property is home to one of the most scenic cross country skiing trails in the world.

Record Snow This Season: February 2008 - For those comparing this winter with the legendary season of 1983-’84, this one is shaping up to be even bigger, at least in terms of snowfall on the Aspen ski mountains. In December and January, we had a total of 224 inches. Epic skiing is especially in effect on the backside of Ajax all the way down to our home. This base should definitely allow our guests to 'ski-in' all the way into April this year.
