If you want to explore the diversity of Acadia National Park, you will be close to Acadia's loop road, hiking trails, picnic areas, ocean and lake swimming, carriage roads for walking or bicycling, the beautiful ocean, and rocky coastline. If you want to sample a faster pace, Bar Harbor is about a 15 minute drive away. We are also about a one hour drive from the smaller downeast Schoodic section of Acadia National Park. It's a great day trip!
Island Explorer Bonus: From late June - October, you can also walk down the street and catch the free Island Explorer bus. You can go with or without your bicycle. Explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park car-free!
