Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- We do not ask for a damage deposit as we never have had a problem in the past with our guests.
- There is a 50% deposit required. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. There is a 90 day cancellation policy. We do need to collect a 6% Use Tax for the State of Michigan. We do not add on a cleaning fee.
Please note during the summer we only rent by the full week (Saturday to Saturday). Weekends are only offered during our off season if and when available. Weekend rates $500 for two nights, $100 for a third night.

Lake Details: ManorWood is located on Dyer Lake. This is a private, and quiet 35 acre lake with 250 ft of private frontage. This lake is good for fishing and other silent sports. While Dyer lake is a clean, clear lake, the lake bottom is too soft to be concidered a swimming lake. Less than a mile down the road is the boat launch to Bass Lake, an all sports lake. There are two really nice swimming lakes with great sandy beaches just minutes away: Long Lake (3000 acre lake)only 6 minutes away and the bay of Lake Michigan, only 10 minutes away. You can moor your boat off shore on the bay all week. Our guests can have the best of both worlds; their own private fishing lake with 250 ft of private frontage and easy access to three area all sports lakes as well as Lake Michigan. Email us so we can help you Mapquest to locate ManorWood in relation to the lakes. The house is across the road from the lake frontage, but the road is a dead-end road with little traffic.
Area Attractions: There is so much to do in the Traverse City area. Some examples are: winery tours and tasting rooms, Children’s Museum, Moomers Homemade Ice Cream (voted #1 in U.S.), Pirate’s Cove Adventure Park, the State Theatre (home of the Traverse City Film Festival), The village at Grand Traverse Commons, Dennos Museum, Interlochen Arts and Performance Academy, Music House Museum, Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore Park, Wuerfel Park (home to the minor league baseball team-Beach Bums) as well as all the biking, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking available in our area. You can Google search these activities or get the information when you arrive at the cottage in our resource book.
