Luxury in the High Country: This has always been our private home and was only rented for two years, many years ago while I worked in Europe. With one child a freshmen in college and the second a varsity high school basketball player, we just haven't had time to enjoy our mountain retreat. So we are offering you the same family oriented luxury we have cherished in our beautiful Breckenridge. Our townhome was professionally decorated and has three master suites, one on each floor. The largest suite on the top floor is large and spacious with vaulted ceilings, king size bed and large chaise. It is completed with a large master bath with both a walk-in shower and a sunken Jacuzzi tub with a window looking out to the lodge pole pines of the National Forest.
Relax in Luxury : The main floor has a large family room with vaulted ceiling that looks out onto the peaks of Breckenridge and has two large leather recliner sofas, a large matching leather recliner, full entertainment systems, and is furnished in a stunning combination of modern and mountain primitive furniture. There is a mountain stone, wood burning fireplace, with cords of seasoned wood stored in the heated garage. It is complimented by a dining area (seats eight) and a fully equipped, spacious kitchen with all the options you would expect in a luxury town home. This floor also has another master suite with queen size bed, entertainment systems of TV, DVD, VCR and a full bath with combination shower/bath tub. Each bedroom has its own telephone and humidifier. Radiant Floor Heat (no forced air to dry your skin and lungs) and humidifiers everywhere. Each bedroom has its own telephone and humidifier and there is a large central humidifier and two telephones and FAX machine in the family room.
Complimentary Sports Equipment: There are many original ski signs throughout our home that we bought when Breckenridge changed the ski signs several years ago and auctioned these for charity. These and the Biss paintings are expensive and inventoried on checkout. The heated garage is home to four mountain bikes, (two adult and two teen complete with helmets and tire pump). There is also a good selection of skis (9 sets ranging from 4-6 year old size to a set of 203cm full out, expert only, Italian racing Squadra Corsa's), ski poles, and several sets of boots in various sizes for guests use. These are provided for your use At Your Own Risk and we recommend you have the bindings set by a professional ski shop according to your weight and ability. There are also various sleds, snow disks, etc for your use. We expect you to replace any item you might lose or damage.
Ski: The Peak 9 lift is a short walk of 500m to the Base 9 Lift which is the primary lift for the ski schools, kids activities, and the Maggie Pond (great ice skating) which is the central location for everything. The town center also begins here. No need to worry about parking or running a taxi service for the kids. If you are not inclined to walk or wish to visit Peak 8, the Breckenridge shuttle stop is just outside on our street. Our family has stayed and been skiing just about everywhere, including Europe. We chose Breckenridge because it is just like stepping back into the past, no glitz, just a small, beautiful Victorian town with some of the best skiing, and restaurants anywhere. With four mountains and ski runs and places for everyone, it is hard to beat. Almost all of our friends who have visited Breckenridge have also chosen it for their destination time and time again. You'll find this for yourself.
Golf: There are two complete sets of golf clubs with pull carts for guests who wish to take advantage of Breckenridge’s premier 27 hole golf course. If you are a golfer, you are in for an unexpected treat. I consider Breckenridge Golf Course to be the equal of any of our high end golf courses in Florida. (And of course, your ball goes about 20% farther!)
Guest Book: My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and just love it. It gives you a warm feeling, very homey. We love the fact that it is close to everything-skiing in winter, golfing in the summer, we have visited at both times of the year and can't wait to go back. Since we live in Florida, it is the only place we would choose to stay when we are looking for a change in the seasons. It really is a great place to stay!!
