Travel Instructions: When making travel arrangements to visit Casa Tranquila you will need to make flight reservations from your local airport to arrive in Mexico at the Cancun Airport. There are direct flights from many major cities.Cancun International Airport is 16 kilometers (9 miles) southwest of the heart of Cancun City, 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the southernmost point of the hotel zone. Follow the crowd down the escalator to the immigration area where you will present your Tourist Card and Passport or Birth Certificate. Remember to put your Tourist Card in a safe place; you will need it to leave the country. You will first pass through Immigration, where your passport or other entry documents are examined. You then collect your luggage and pass through Customs. In Customs you will be asked to press a button connected to a little traffic light that will determine whether your bags are searched; green light, and you just walk through, or red light and your bags are inspected.

Ferry Instructions: GO TO PUERTO JUAREZ or GRAN PUERTO to catch a ferry. If you're flying into Cancun, you've got a few choices on how you get to the ferries. The airport shuttles, located outside the baggage claim, are very reliable and reasonably priced (around 12 U.S. dollars per person). This is probably the most reasonable manner to get to Puerto Juarez, although you may be required to make a few stops through Cancun to drop off fellow vacationers at their hotels. If you just can't wait to get there, you will need to take a cab. All the cabs leaving Cancun International Airport belong to one company, therefore, you have little choice and no bargaining power. Just tell the representative where you want to go and how many people are in your party. Pay up and get going. The less fuss, the faster you'll get out of there and the sooner you'll arrive in paradise.

Shoestring Travelers: If you're feeling adventurous or just want the cheapest means to get to Isla, you can take the buses. When you leave the terminal go directly to your right and follow the sidewalk along the departures section until you come to the end. There you'll find the very comfortable and air conditioned buses run by ADO. The cost is next to nothing, but you have to walk a ways to get there. This bus will drop you at the bus station in downtown Cancun. From there you can take a taxi (for much less) to the dock or can walk out and wait for another bus heading to Puerto Juarez. Another option is to take the public taxis located outside the airport property.
