Olympic Village beckons you: The Olympic Arena is within 5-10 minute walk from townhouse. As well as national and international skating and hockey competitions, the arena hosts special events and public indoor skating. Starting here are tours of other Olympic venues (biathlon, bobsled, luge, ski jumps, cross country skiing, Whiteface Mountain for downhill events). The Olympic Museum also located at the arena as it was the site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games. Owner offers discounted ski tickets to Whiteface.
Lake Placid is golfers' paradise.: This townhouse is ideally located steps awy from the most breathtaking view in Lake Placid without climbing a mountain and 45 holes of award winning golf at the Crowne Plaza/Lake Placid Resort. Golf Digest recently awarded the resort a 4-star rating and Links Magazine ranks this resort as one of the 'Eight Icons of American Resort Golf' along with Pebble Beach and Pinehurst. Three other golf courses, Craig Wood, Whiteface Resort and Saranac Lake, can be reached within a 15 minutes drive.
Guests' comments include the following:: Your townhouse was beyond ideal for us: beautifully appointed, well equipped, roomy, great location. We played a lot of golf on excellent courses. So glad we found you. Nothing was missing from great hot showers to extra paper towels. Thanks for your kindness and help with all the little things and insight into the area. This is our fifth year in your beautiful and clean townhome. Our youngest enjoyed the monkeys and combined with the mountain air, slept like a log. Plenty of floor space for our kids (and dads) to run around and play. Thanks for making us so comfortable. Once again a memorable time for our third visit staying at your place: outdoor picnic at golfhouse, x-c skiing, The Cottage and homemade squash soup. So glad we found #19 Dunn Way and want to keep it for ourselves. Look forward to returning.
