Regalo del Mar ('Gift from the Sea') is an exotic small luxury inn located in the little fishing village of Playa Troncones. Relax in an exquisitely designed private beachfront paradise just 20 km north of Ixtapa on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.
Imaginative use of large timbers, tropical woods, bamboo and intricately woven palapa roofs make this Playa Troncones vacation rental an architect’s fascination. The dramatic open design ensures that the beauty of the home frames nature’s landscape. The view of the sea, the shades created by the sunlight, the warm air and the aroma from tropical plants enrich the interior spaces. Handcrafted furniture and artifacts collected from villages throughout Mexico contribute to the charm of the rooms.
The “home” is situated on an acre of beach and blooming tropical gardens. It consists of 4 suites in independent buildings plus a kitchen and dining area that are shared by guests.

Troncones is a little fishing village 20 km north of Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
It has 5 miles of beautiful unspoiled white sand beach which is great for boogie boarding, swimming and surfing.
There are approximately a dozen excellent little restaurants surfing local fresh seafood and international fare.
This is a place to come to unwind and enjoy the best of nature.
Regalo del Mar is one of the most beautiful, uniquely designed homes in Troncones. It is constructed of huge
timbers sitting on large tree-trunks 4 feet off the ground. The ocean breezes go under the bedrooms, strike the back wall, and are deflected up through the cracks of the 'teak plank' floors to provide an natural 'air-conditioning'. You will not experience this anywhere else.

This suite is luxuriously decorated with art and pottery from all of Mexico. It is completely open to the beauty of the surrounding gardens and yet is very private. Casita Redonda Suite The Casita Redonda is a large round bedroom, complete with a bathroom unit and lounge area. The suite is situated in the center of our playa Troncones property, surrounded by the garden. This Troncones rental has a limited view of the ocean. You will marvel at the cathedral ceiling... Balcony Suite The Balcony Suite is the upper floor of a two-story building. It consists of a bedroom, bathroom and large covered deck with an ocean view. The deck has a sitting area plus a lounge – perfect for an afternoon siesta cooled by the Troncones ocean breezes.
