Year Round Recreation: Minutes from River Run Lift on Baldy, only 1-1/2 miles to Dollar Mountain. Free bus runs to all ski lift areas. Miles of biking trails in the summer and more miles of cross country in the winter. Many rivers and streams for fishing. Numerous mountain lake hikes within 20 mile radius. 3 golf courses, 17 tennis courts. Art galleries, symphony, jazz, parades, rodeo, horseback riding, sleigh rides and many other seasonal activities. Year round activities. You'll find numerous hikes less than an hour away to some of the most beautiful lakes and creeks in the world. Water ski and boat rentals available at Redfish Lake. Lots of fly fishing choices. Lots of nice camp sites on several lakes in the area. On the free bus line. On the bike trail. Minutes from town. You'll never see such gorgeous colors as late September & October.
Spring & Fall Colors Beautiful: Ride your bike in the fall along the Big Wood River nestled with bright yellow Aspen leaves. Summer and fall, hike or mountain bike to the many alpine lakes through fields of colorful flowers. Lifts on Baldy are open during the summer. Hike or bike up and enjoy a leisurely ride down.
