House amenities: The house comes complete with charcoal grill, picnic table and chairs, lawn chairs, badminton and croquet sets. There is also a women's bicycle for quick trips into Bass Harbor or scenic rides on the Hio Trail to Seawall and Wonderland. The house is fully furnished with sheets, towels, pillows and blankets and the kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils.
Location: The house is located on a peaceful 2 acre site, though less than a mile from Bass Harbor, with seafood restaurant overlooking the harbor, Rich's lobster pound, the Bass Harbor head light and Swan's Island Ferry. It is also just 3 miles from the charming village of Southwest Harbor with restaurants, gourmet and super markets, specialty wine shop, bicycle rental, community center, library and ferry to The Cranberry Islands. Also in SWH is The Claremont Hotel, grand dame of The Quiet Side and the perfect setting for end of day libation at the dock house over looking Somes Sound.
Other Activities: kayaking, whale watching, badminton, croquet.
