Especially for Nature Enthusiasts: Discover nearby hiking trails. You will find trail maps and hiking guides in our library. Wildlife is abundant, so bring your camera. Midweek, with advance notice, we will arrange a nature tour led by Vincent, the local historian, photographer, and guide. He'll go where others dare not go! Just a short walk takes you to the historic swinging steel bridge, built in the 1800's. Tour the neighborhood with bicycles and helmets we provide.
Convenient to H.I.T.S.: Our proximity to this major equestrian center makes this home ideal for those participating in, or simply attending the wealth of seasonal events.
Skiers, Take Note!: We are located a mere ten miles from Hunter Mountain!
Ski: Hunter Mountain (10 miles) is a popular ski resort, or go to nearby Belleayre or Windham.
Golf: We are barely five minutes away from the Rip Van Winkle Golf Club, Palenville's lovely 9 hole course. Travel just a bit further to the Catskill Golf Course (10 miles) for an 18 hole course, or Woodstock (12 miles) for its 9 hole course.
