Chatham Summer Traditions: The town celebrates its long tradition through such well-loved summertime rituals as free Friday night band concerts in a quaint town-center gazebo, Chatham A's baseball games and a Fourth of July parade that is a Norman Rockwell painting come to life.
Leave It All Behind At One of Natures Jewels: Both scenic and romantic, the area is filled with pristine water, beautiful sky and sun, sand and salt air, conducive to walks, jogs, bicycle jaunts and hikes, and is close to the town’s famous “loop.” An abundance of water surrounds the house, making it an ideal destination for every type of water sport. Close to downtown with its famous lighthouse and perhaps the finest ocean beach on Cape Cod.
A Conservation Landmark: Where the Atlantic Ocean meets Nantucket Sound, there are three important landmarks. The Monomoy Islands, (once a peninsula, then an island, and now two islands) are home to the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, one of the most important and finest bird sanctuaries in North America. Morris Island is the location of Meteorological Observatory and a few select homes. Abutting both of these landmarks is Stage Harbor, where many of the town’s Sailboats are moored. The area is postcard pretty. Standing at the point of Stage Harbor, one can watch the sunrise on the east and set on west.
Golf: Hardings Beach (260 acres) golf, boating-non motor, hunting, nature observing, salt water swimming, sight seeing, walking/jogging Eastward Ho Golf Course (120 acres) golf Chatham Bars Inn (80 acres) golf, salt water swimming, sight seeing.
