West Dennis Beach: Beach is little over 1 mile long and can be walked on the beach sand or on a hot-top parking area. There are areas for kite flying, volleyball, and mile markers for walking or running. Festivals and fireworks are on the beach during the summer spring and summer seasons. Lifeguards, parking attendants, snack bar, children's playground area, trash receptacles at intervals along the beach. Not pets on beach from May 31 to Sept 1. Town maintains, cleans and police patrol the beach. Clean and safe location.
Cottage: Cottage has kitchen, 2 bedrooms, living room, and 1 bath with shower. Outside shower is utilized by both sides. Clothesline and picnic table with charcoal grill is in rear of yard. Back overlooks Weir Creek salt water marsh, which has many birds daily in the trees and the water. The cottage overlooks Nantucket Sound. Views from both cottage windows and it is 32 steps to the beach. Fishing is on the bridge on Loring Ave on way to the beach. Cottage has front yard grassed area with sprinkler system. Great for kids to play ball on.
Yacht club: West Dennis Yacht Club is directly across from the cottage(s). It is a public club you can learn to sail, children's programs included. Dinners, dances, sporting events, fishing tournaments, and bar open to public. Dances for teenagers once a week. Daily events during summer months. See Falmouth fireworks from the front yard.
Golf: Many public golf courses in the town of Dennis and around the mid cape area. Details available at cottage or through Town of Dennis on website.
