The naturalist feel is intentional to connect our guests with the local wildlife and eco-tourist offerings in the area including kayaking, fishing, bird watching, beach combing, biking, or boating. And the seahorses? You'll find them inconspicuously in the decor throughout the house. Exploring the Surrounding Area...: Of course you can head down the road to the family attractions in Destin or let the sugar-white sand sift through your toes just four miles west on uncrowded Navarre Beach, Florida's 'best kept secret.' You may even decide to enjoy your own beach where the water is clear and shallow, and parents can let young children play without concern about rough water or undertow. We have even provided a tandem kayak and life jackets for your use to explore the calm water around the Sound. There is something for the entire family! Plenty of fishing, boating, swimming on the Sound! And...the Sound is a perfect place to try stand-up paddle boarding - a fun sport that is becoming increasingly popular! Anyone can do it (just takes a little practice or one lesson to get the hang of it - really!). See fish, glide over cow-nosed rays, firm up your core! Paddle boards are available for rent nearby in Destin, Navarre Beach, and Pensacola.
