Information about this cottage rental in Silver Lake

This cozy cottage is in the center of it all. The home is the third away from the sand dune entrance and three homes away from silver lake and the wonderful view of the sand dunes. If you have a small boat or water craft the boat launch is just a few steps away. The cottage is a 2br 1ba. the living room has a full pull out sofa, a love seat and an overstuffed chair. The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your cooking needs. There are linens in the bedrooms, but you are welcome to bring your own. We also have bath towels but ask that you bring beach towels. The cottage does not have a phone so you may want to bring a cell phone. Each room does have TV with cable and the living room TV has a DVD player. Out side there is a picnic table and a charcoal grill for your use. The back yard has a fire pit and there is chairs stored in the shed for you to sit around the fire. This is a wooded area surrounded by 2000 acres of massive sand dunes. We have a beautiful lake overlooking the dunes which is silver lake and you can get to lake Michigan two ways either by going on the dunes or going through town to the little sable light house. We have many things packed in our small town especially in season. There is a 22 mile paved bike or hiking trail. Take a stop at mac woods dune scooters and go for a scooter ride on the dunes. For you golf enthusiast there is a local golf course nearby. You can rent dune buggies, jeeps, and quads if you don't have one of your own. Rentals are also available for boats, bikes etc. If horseback riding is for you there are lots of trails & fun nightly hayrides. Let the kids go go-carting or go for a round of putt putt golf or bumper boating. There are lots of small stores - convenience, gift, parts, dollar, antiques, jewelry, clothing and a couple grocery stores and lots of different restaurants from McDonalds to steak and seafood

Rate information for this Silver Lake cottage rental

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • Rental rates are $750 per week. $125 per night 3 night min. April- October.
  • Pets will be considered at a rate of $10.00 per pet per day.
    $150 refundable deposit will be required to hold your stay.
  • Regular rental rates from April - October $750.00 weekly. Stay two weeks or longer and receive a 10% discount. Stay for a month and receive a 20% discount. Nightly rental rate is $125 (3 night min.)

Notes: Children are more than welcome. We have Children and they love the cottage. (They love the sand dunes period). Everyone is welcome at the cottage, but for those in wheel chairs the cottage does not have handrails but we are at level surface and I know that is important for my grandma when she comes to visit us because there are no stairs. The cottage is one big open space so there should be no problem accommodating a wheelchair. We do ask that renters do not smoke in the cottage because a lot of people have allergies and the smoke does linger in the cottage. We do have the picnic table outside for smoking. There is Internet access at one of the local ice cream shops but we do not have it in the cottage. We have no pool on the property but Silver Lake is just a few steps down the road.

There are many activities to do in this small town. Such as jeep tour rides, Mac Dune Scooter rides, Rent 4-wheel drives, Go boating - there are jet skis, paddle boats, jet boats, pontoon boats, bumper boats. Take the kids go-carting or miniature golfing. Maybe Dad could try out a golf course. There are also horse back rides, hay rides, Bike rentals, Shopping, Lots of restaurants, and Sun bathing. The casino is not to far away for those gamblers. For those of you who have four wheel drives you can go have your own fun on the dunes. Resturants are plentiful. If your looking for a place to relax you found it.

Golf: The Golden Sands Golf Course is located 2 miles away from the cottage. They have a 9 hole course and a driving range. There is also another course a little further away called Driftwood Golf Course. They are 1 mile east of US 31
