No Combined Discounts Please! See Ocean, Lava Flow and Steam from Lanai, Closer to Beaches. Few Hundred feet walk to Black Sand Beach from the House. Location: Kalapana, Puna District, Big Island, Hawaii, USA (about 20 minutes Drive from Hilo Airport and 2-5 min Beaches) From Lanai you have great Ocean View, Steam from Lava flowing in the Ocean and at night time actual Lava Flow from your master bedroom based on flow direction, a lot closer view if use binoculars. You drive about 2.5 miles from the property and with about 1/2 hour hike you will be actually experiencing the Lava Flow within feet. We have 4 vacation rentals in Kapoho gated community (20 min drive from the property) and by calling us prior to coming here
Nearby Activites and Sandy Beaches: There are two great Black Sand Beaches 2 min Drive and 5 min Drive from our property with sea turtles and tropical fish and Lava flow viewing from our Master Bedroom at night. To see the Lava Close up drive about 2.5 miles and hike up for about 1/2 hour and you're within feet of the Lava. We have 4 vacation rentals in Kapoho gated community (20 min drive from the property) and by calling us prior to coming here we will let you thru the gate, Where you can swim snorkel in the Ocean and Famous Geothermal heated Champagne Pond with Sea Turtles and Tropical Fish
Other Activities:: Akaka Falls and State Park, Beautiful water falls, About 2, 5 hours Dr, Kayaking in Our own quiet and Calm Bay, Kehena Beach is another black sand beach that rests, beneath a low sea cliff, The ocean is a bit tricky for, so concentrate on sunning yourself on one, of the two patches of sand that is sheltered by a, shade of coconut trees, The beach is also known to, locals as a clothing optional area, About 15 minutes, away, One of the famous Ponds called Champagne Pond in, Kapoho, which can be accessed and enjoyed from our, property, You will be able to snorkel and see tropical, fish and Sea Turtles, For a day trip, head to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Take a peak at an explosion captured on film in the Kilauea Visitor's Center, about an hour drive.
