Rustic all-season waterfront home on historic Lake Champlain has views of Adirondack Mountains across the lake and fabulous sunsets! Quiet rural location about 25 minutes from Fort Ticonderoga, NY and Middlebury, VT. Private access to 100' of waterfront on Lake Champlain. Great for Kayaks, canoes. Excellent fishing right from the shore. One hour to Burlington and Killington. One hour to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski areas, and 30 minutes from the Middlebury College Snow Bowl. Sleeps 9 in 4 BRs (two with A/C): Queen size bed in MBR, one double bed in 2d BR, two twin beds in 3d BR, one twin and bunk beds in 4 BR -- kids can also 'camp' in the heated/carpeted attic loft. Two more can sleep on new sofa bed in LR. Full kitchen, washer/dryer, and woodstove. TV with VHS/DVD in LR; TV with VHS in kids' Bedroom. Paperback and movie library. LR has brand new carpet. Ample parking.

Situated directly on Lake Champlain, with direct access to the lake from the property. Just south of the bridge to NY. Located in the hamlet of Bridport with a General Store, Post Office, gas station, churches, and a fire station. Quiet rural location, surrounded by farms. Ample room for walks or bike rides in the country. Boat ramp a short drive away. Historic, charming Middlebury, VT, home to Middlebury College, is a 25 minute drive to the East. The lovely village of Vergennes is located about the same distance to the north, in the direction of Burlington. Burlington itself is a fun city with a bustling downtown business district, theaters, restaurants, and ample shopping only an hour drive to the north.

  • One BR downstairs has (new) Double bed, ideal for those who can't manage the spiral stairs. One BR upstairs has Queen bed, ceiling fan, and doors that open to a porch with lake/mountain view -- this is the most private BR. On the other side of the house are two upstairs BRs, accessed by the same spiral staircase. The first has two twin beds, ceiling fan and A/C. The second is the 'kids' ' BR (OK for adults), with two bunk beds and an additional twin bed. You have to pass through the first to get to the kids' BR. The kids' BR has the TV/VCR combo. Two more people can sleep on the (new) Double sleeper couch (pictured). There is an attic loft which is warm and carpeted where we have had kids 'camp out' with sleeping bags, if you have a real house full. There is a full size thin mattress in the loft to make this a bit more comfortable.
