Further details about this house rental
The Parsonage was built circa 1800, about the same time that the Old Tavern opened as the prosperous center of the town. The Tavern hosted such prominent guests as Daniel Webster, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Ulysses S. Grant, and Rudyard Kipling, testimony to the notoriety of Grafton in the nineteenth century. More than two hundred years after it was built, the Parsonage is once again a private residence, and having undergone a complete renovation, takes its place among the pristine collection of restored homes that comprise Grafton’s historic and often-photographed Main Street. GRAFTON WAS NAMED ONE OF THE 10 MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN AMERICA BY USA WEEKEND! Find the link to the complete article in our Owner's Web Site below!
The finer print: The Parsonage is a no-smoking/no pets environment. The house is best-suited for 1-3 couples, and is not furnished in a way that makes it suitable for very young children.
Nearby activities: Antiquing, Grafton art galleries, Hiking, Mountain biking and Nordic skiing at Grafton Ponds, Golf, Stream fishing, Wildlife viewing, Manchester outlet shopping, Vermont-made craft shopping, the Vermont Country Store, Spectacular Grafton gift shops, Gourmet restaurants in Chester and Saxton's River, Award-winning Dining at the Old Tavern at Grafton & live entertainment in the Phelps Barn Pub (next door), Prize-winning Grafton cheese-making & sales, Live Theater nearby, Museums, Sightseeing, Cross Country Skiing, Sledding, Snow-tubing & Some of Vermont's best Downhill Ski Resorts are all within a short walk or an easy scenic drive!
