The Seven Wonders of Desert Hot Springs : 1.) Mt. San Jacinto- Serene & majestic, this magnificent snow-capped mountain is visible from every part of DHS. 2.) Joshua Tree National Park- Desert Hot Springs is situated in the foothills of Joshua Tree and you can hike or ride horses into this unique National Park from DHS. 3.) Hot Water Aquifer- There are only a few place on earth w/ natural hot mineral water that can compare with the miraculous waters that gave our town its name. Rich in minerals, but free from the sulfurous odor that usually accompanies hot mineral water. 4.) Cold Water Aquifer- Fed by snowfall on distant mountains, then filtered through hundreds of feet of sand, DHS municipal water supply has ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in recent yrs. in international water tasting competition.
