Property Manager: Once you have decided to rent I will put you in contact with my property manager who lives in Las Terrenas and can help you with transportation needs and info on the area...excursions etc. He's my wonderful meet & greet friend who speaks numerous languages fluently and will graciously introduce you to all that Las Terrenas has to offer.
Activities in the area: The Samana Peninsula has miles of beautiful beaches, with gorgeous Lomas (hills) running down it's center. Spectacular views! The Samana Bay is a sanctuary for Atlantic whales...mating and birthing. There are horseback excursions to the impressive Limon waterfall. All manner of watersports is possible. World class golfing about 1 1/2 hrs away. Nightclubs, Dancing (Bachata, Merenge, Salsa) and Casino activities keep you hopping. Excellent local and European cuisine to delight the palette.
Airports: The Samana 'El catey' airport just opened in November 2007, 45 minutes from our house. It has direct flights from Europe and Canada. American Eagle flys there through San Juan Puerto Rico. You can also fly into Santiago (quite inexpensive) and take a 3 hour taxi ride from there to our home through the countryside. We'd send a taxi that we know to meet you. ($150 each way including tip/up to 6 people) The final option is to fly into Santo Domingo and take a commuter flight directly to Las Terrenas. ($75 each way p/p)
