Grandma's place on the beach.... from the summer of 1925. Lovingly restored by 3rd generation owners into a fully furnished beach front vacation rental. This is the big 2 bedroom plus sleeping porch unit. If you are looking for a great family vacation this is the place. My Grandparents chose the most beautiful spot of white sand beaches between Clearwater and St. Pete. You'll stay in a truly unique setting, called 'The Narrows' by the old fishermen. The island is only wide enough for the road and a single row of lucky homeowners. The emerald waters of the Gulf and the Bay surround you like nowhere else. You'll be staying in the owners suite. It has a wonderful master suite with king size pillow top bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and its own bath. For the kids we have two trundle beds on the sleeping porch that can pull out to sleep 4 in a pinch.. They can walk right out their door and be on the sand. Special memories are made here.

  • This is the owners suite. My mother ran the local art studio and all the walls are decorated with beach artwork by local artist. The unit is priced for 6 persons. Because of the wear and tear we charge $20 /day for persons 7 and person 8.

Notes: Walk out your door and you are on the beach. Plenty of beach toys for the kids. Umbrellas for picnic. Clothes line to dry towels and bathing suits. Coin Laundry in the the shed. Walk across the street and you can sit on the sea wall and fish and wave to the boats going by on their way between Clearwater and St Pete. Go 1 mile north into Indian Rocks Beach, a charming 1920's seaside town. There you can rent a jet ski, surf board or fishing boat. Deep Sea Fishing Boats depart from Clearwater. You and the kids can go out for a half or all day into the Gulf and bring back a catch of Grouper and Red Snapper. For the adventurous they Parasail in the Gulf of Mexico or take the relaxing cruise to view a sunset on a pirate ship. We are close to it all but far from the crowds.

DR. Beach awards Fort DeSota in top 10: Enjoy our sugar white sandy beach. We have a sandbar about 70 feet from the shore that is fun to wade out to to look for shells and sand dollars before they wash up in the tide the next morning.
