Popular Fish Caught: Rainbow, brown, and brook Trout, largemouth and small mouth bass, bream, catfish, crappie, perch, walleye, pike, strippers, white bass, hybrid bass are among the most popular fish caught. This river has recently been stocked and the fish are jumping!!!
Tubing, Kayaks and Canoes: With the house located directly on the river, it makes for easy access to many water sports. You can put your choice of floatable in at the bridge about half mile up stream and enjoy a nice hour on the river and arrive right in your front yard. Or you can catch up with “Miss Piggy” the community bus that will provide you with a tube and pick you up at the landing after about a two hour float.
Fall Festivals: Georgia Apple Festival in Ellijay: Everything you can imagine made from fresh apples, other homemade country goodies, crafts, games and activities for the kids, live entertainment, and much much more. Oktoberfest in Helen: Celebrate the spirit of Bavaria with authentic food, beer, music, dancing, and much more during the Oktoberfest celebration in Helen. Sorghum Festival in Blairsville: Get stocked up on delicious sorghum syrup, perfect with some homemade biscuits for a true country treat. Crafts, live music, and much more.
