Ski: Crested Butte Mountain Resort ski season opens November 18, 2006 and closes April 8, 2007. The Mountain is serviced by 15 lifts including 3 high-speed quad chairs, 2 fixed grip quads, 3 triple chairs, 3 double chairs, 2 surface lifts, & 2 magic carpets for kids. Lifts open at 9 am and close at 4 pm. There are 121 trails - 23% beginner, 57% intermediate, and 20% advanced. The vertical lift is 2,775 ft/846m that is lift served and 3,062ft/933m with a short hike. The longest run is 2.6 miles from the Peak to Treasury. There are 282 acres of snowmaking covered by 13 of 15 lifts. The mountain also sports a super pipe, terrain parks open to skiers, snowboarders, and snow skates, and a children's' tubing hill. CB Mountain Resort also features and Adaptive Sports Center that provides year-round outdoor recreation activities for people with disabilities. It is just a great place to ski, especially for folks with families.
Golf: For the golfers, the Club at Crested Butte, our local country club and golf course, is open to the public. As there advertisement says, 'Hitting a golf ball at 9,000 ft. will do a lot for your ego.'
