White Mountain Athletic Club: Guests have access to the White Mountain Athletic Club, for a minimal daily fee. Facilities include indoor and outdoor 25m swimming pools, cardio and weight rooms, indoor tennis, The Coyote Grill and Coyote Cabana restaurants, saunas, steam rooms & whirlpool spas, massage service, tanning and game room. They also offer Video Valley, a full-service video rental operation with over 2,500 titles in VHS and DVD formats. Other area activities include boating and fishing on Corcoran Pond. In winter, ski on Snow's Mountain and Mount Tecumseh, cross-country ski on more than 100 miles of groomed trails, ice skate, or take an old-fashioned horse- drawn sleigh ride.
Waterville Valley Tennis Center: Recognized by Tennis Magazine as one of the Top 50 tennis resorts in America, along with being named one of the Top 5 Best Bargains, as well as one of the Top 5 Family Resorts. In 2001, Tennis Resorts Online ranked Waterville Valley Tennis #19 in the world, along with a #2 ranking for Best Setting, #4 for Kids Programs and #4 for Best Value. The center has 18 clay courts, and affordable clinics for both children and adults.
Skiing: Waterville Valley has long been a popular destination for New England skiers and riders (they're celebrating their 40th season this year), and former owner Tom Corcoran played host to many a Bostonian, including the Kennedy clan. Since its acquisition by Booth Creek Resorts, Waterville has received many upgrades. Its village core is one of the first in the East and the mountain's 2,000-foot vertical drop is exceptionally appealing. Waterville consistently hosts major international races, including many memorable World Cups. Kids did well with the addition of a new smaller terrain park, and an all-access daily lift ticket that lets kids try out snow tubes, ski bikes, snowscoots, ski foxes, and snow blades in the Exhibition Park. Recent upgrades included 'Old T Trees' - 4.5 acres of new, intermediate gladed runs - daily trails maps with the most up-to-date information on conditions and activities, and a new Camoplast snow groomer.
