Mansfield, 400 yards from the closest ski lift, borders Stowes largest river and is 1/2 mile from Stowe's great waterfall (Bingham Falls). The 8 bedroom, 4 bath, 4300sq. foot 'newer home' includes a 6 person outdoor hot tub, 8 person indoor sauna and mountain views in three directions. Enter a large great room and fully equipped kitchen seating 10, and 10 in the adjacent formal dining room. Choose one of 8 bedrooms each with a 'unique name' on the door and 'matching decorated theme',such as Jackson Hole, Coyote Den, Maple Sugar Shack, Sir Lancelots Lair, Cape Cod and for kids the Green Mountain Bunkhouse (with 3 sets of double bunk beds). Admire dozens of classic Vermont antiques. The property is also a horse ranch (with Clydesdales). Snow shoes and sleds are available as a courtesy. We offer renters an authentic Vermont experience and welcome guests who treat the home well.

Walking distance to General Store and Matterhorn restaurant/night club. Within a few minutes of dining, shops, 4 star spas, library, museums, galleries, movie theater, churches, sports rentals and fitness clubs. Catch the Stowe Trolley out front. Take a walk on the recreation path along side the river with exceptional views or go sledding across the street.

Enjoy mountain views in three directions from the house. Take a moonlight walk to a local well-known tavern, The Matterhorn. The owner has a separate caretakers apartment with separate/private entrance and stays there to twice daily feed, water, exercise and care for the horses.
