Available for the Winter Season -- five-month lease. Ideal ski location - ten miinutes drive to Stratton Mountain, 20 to Bromley, 30 to Mount Snow. Has a spacious living area: Living room open to the country kitchen and sundeck; separate TV room (with cable); dining room (with Internet access); plus separate washroom. Two bathrooms (with showers and a tub). Upstairs are four bedrooms (3 with handbasins) and a half bathroom. Four Bedrooms: (1) Twin bed (2) Double plus Twin (3) Two Twin (4) Trundle bed which can be double or twin. House has been very well-maintained, and is fully equipped, . House has its own deep well providing cool fresh water. House has a big red barn attached. Picturesque village of Jamaica has 2 restaurants, a grocery store, art gallery, weaving shop, and coffee shop.

Jamaica is ideally located for the ski season. Ten minutes drive to Stratton Mountain, 20 to Bromley, and 30 minutes to Mount Snow. The house is on a side road off the main road, a tarmac road that is plowed. Jamaica is a village with charm. Village has 2 restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, weaving shop, two art galleries and gift shop - all within two minutes' walk from the house. Pick up your favorite newspapers before breakfast. The house rents by the week in Spring, Summer and Fall - but for the winter, it is rented for a FIVE MONTH lease.

It has a toilet and handbasin with power outlets.

The House and Barn: House has been a family summer home for over 30 years - but rented out weekly in summer and fall, and every winter. Thus it is set up for tenants. It is well equipped with china, glass, cooking equipment etc. Sheets and towels, dish cloths and bathmats are all provided. One of the features is the way in which the living room and the country kitchen provide one open space. They are distinct separate areas, but are open to one another. Thus the person cooking is also 'part of' the group sitting around the fire. (From the end of the kitchen to the end of the living room is 36'.) The Barn has parking for two cars, but is difficult to use for parking in the winter, as the snow tends to block the doors. However, there is direct access from the house - and firewood is stored conveniently in the barn. House has a mudroom for storing skis and boots in the winter, swimsuits and sports gear in the summer. It also has a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.

The house has charm and character. It is about 200 years old, of wood construction. It is a perfect setting in the winter, with a group sitting around the fire and snow all around. The fact that it is on a plowed road, and the shops are just a short walk makes for a very convenient location. It has been carefully maintained and well looked after, and visitors always comment on how 'at home' they felt as soon as they walked through the door.

Ski: House is located on a plowed tarmac road, just off the Main Street. Stratton Ski area is just ten minutes down the road, 20 minutes to Bromley, and 30 minutes to Mt. Snow. House has mudroom for storing skis and boots.

Guest Book: We have loads of enthusiastic comments from renters. In the summer: people have found numerous places for dipping in water including a waterfall-fed pool; enjoy hiking, just walking out of the front door; have left lists of birds spotted; In the winter, the opportunity to access a range of ski areas plus cross-country is appreciated. Also, sitting around the wood-burning stove in winter evenings has been commented upon.
