Duck Village and Nearby Neighbors: The village of Duck, NC is a quaint resort area with bike and foot paths, ocean and sound access. Located only minutes to the north is Corolla, a wild horse sanctuary with 4 wheel drive allowed on the beach, excellent shopping and dining, a restored lighthouse and many recreational opportunities. Located just to the south is Kill Devil Hills, home of the Wright Brothers first flight; Nags Head with its famed Jockey's Ridge State Park, and Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands. Other attractions include the NC Aquarium, the Lost Colony, the Elizabethan Gardens and outlet shopping. Nag's Head's Gallery Row is home to numerous artisan galleries and studios boasting local and regional works, and more artists keep studios along the quaint streets of Manteo just across the Roanoke Sound.
Sports Abound: Whether your interests lie in enjoying water sports such as swimming, kayaking, deep sea fishing or para sailing, or you more prefer biking, hiking and canoeing, Duck and the surrounding area has it all.
