Beachfront 4 bedroom Villa Del Mar is nestled in a stand of coconut palms and gardens at Playa Las Tortugas, on 5 miles of pristine undeveloped beach. Designated as a protected turtle nesting habitat, our soft sand beach is perfect for swimming and is considered to be one of the best surfing spots on the coast. Canoes and sea kayaks are provided for exploring the spectacular adjacent estuary, home to hundreds of migratory birds and other wildlife. Our Tahitian-inspired 250 square feet beach palapa is the perfect spot to practice yoga, hammock lounge, whale watch or gather for sunset drinks. Inside the villa hand-crafted Mexican furnishings and Central American artifacts, showcased under a soaring 20 foot palapa ceiling, create an ambiance that reflects the villa's serene setting. Each of the four bedrooms opens to its own deck, with private sitting areas just steps from the beach.

Villa Del Mar is located on the beautiful Nayarit coast, a scenic hour and a half drive north of Puerto Vallarta at Playa Las Tortugas. “Riviera Nayarit' is largely undeveloped and is being carefully planned to ensure the natural resources are protected. Our 5 mile stretch of pristine undeveloped beach is designated as a protected sea turtle nesting habitat, where guests can witness this magical nightly event or (in season) or take part in nighttime baby turtle releases! Our adjacent natural salt water estuary is home to thousands of migratory birds and other wildlife. The nearby villages reflect the spirit of Mexico's charm, where locals farm the rich soils for the produce and tropical fruits they sell at local markets and roadside stands, as well as markets displaying locally made handicrafts. Nearby excursions include a spectacular waterfall, an Indian ruin, and a jungle river boat ride.

There are several acres of common area gardens to wander through, with well over one hundred different types of tropical plants and trees. The ocean and pool are warm enough to swim in all year round. Playa Las Tortugas features an uncrowded, clean beach, and a number of activities both on property and nearby such as Surfing, Wave Kayaking, Boogie Boarding, Fishing, and Shelling, Canoing, Whale Watching, Bird Watching, Walking or Running on Miles of Sand Beach, and Sea Turtle Conservation activities (during season) at the Sea Turtle Conservation Camp. Villa Del Mar provides our guests the use of our surfboards, boogie boards, canoe, and sea kayaks free of charge. Maid service included. Gardener included. Cook/Meal Plan optional.
