Further details about this cottage rental
Enjoy the quiet - pets welcome.: This is our third year renting our newly renovated cottage. Already visitors and their pets from the last two summers have made reservations for this coming summer. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the lake, laying on the new dock, visiting the wineries (we have one 7 miles down the road) and local restaurants. Others have ventured to Ithaca, Rochester, and Canandaigua to visit museums, gourmet restaurants, and historic sites. The bedroom is above the lake so when you wake up in the morning, you feel like you are on a boat, overlooking the lake. The kitchen and dining area are on the bottom floor and look right out onto the water. There are many places to walk including a two mile hike up to Sampson State Park. If you need to get away from the stress of your life, this is the place.
Enjoy the Lake: If you want a high stressed vacation, this is not for you. See the herons land on the dock each evening and the ducklings come by each morning. The waves will rock you to sleep. Have beach fires at night and swim and visit our many wonderful places nearby. This is truly the country and as our friend Simon always says, 'They aren't building any more lakes.'
