Rent this beautifully restored Gold Country Hotel. This is one of the only three story hotels still standing in the Motherlode.
Dutch Flat is a piece of living history from the era of the California Gold Rush, having been one of California Gold Country's most important mining towns as well as a stage station. Its rich history includes being the site of some of the region's most notorious hydraulic mining, home to one of the nation's first 'Chinatowns' where a large immigrant Chinese population lived that worked the mines, and serving as a station on the Central Pacific railroad. Dutch Flat is located midway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe on Interstate 80 in the High Sierras.
The hotel features a gourmet kitchen, original bar, music room with pianos, guitars, banjos and more, pool table, large screen HD TV w/ surround sound and wireless Internet access.
The first floor is handicap accessible and has two additional half baths on the first floor.

Dutch Flat is located 28 miles east of Auburn just 1.5 miles off Hwy. 80. It is 72 miles west of Reno. The elevation is 3200 feet. We are located 30 minutes from the beautiful towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley and just 25 minutes west of world class ski resorts. You will feel as though you've been transported back to 1870. There are many hiking, biking, quad and motorcycle trails nearby on BLM property. River and lake fishing are also close by. If you want beautiful mountain scenery, peace and quiet and adventure, Stay Here! If you want tourist shops filled with crap from China, traffic and crowds, Go Somewhere Else!

- The hotel sleeps 20 but we do have additional roll away beds. All bedrooms have full baths with antique clawfooted tubs. There are fleece robes in all rooms. Every room is decorated with beautiful period antiques. We get amazing compliments on our pillowtop mattresses. In fact, many people want to know where we purchased them! This is your home away from home. The minute you walk into the lobby, you feel right at home. Cozy up to the bar and have a drink, set a spell by the fireplace or play and old time song on the piano.
