Other Amenities: Mountain view from deck. 2 queen beds, 2 bunk beds. Full kitchen with coffee maker, microwave and countertop dishwasher. Central heating and air conditioning and fans in every room. Massaging recliner in living room. Gas barbecue grill, hot tub and campfire. Hummingbirds at feeder (in summer). Wildflowers everywhere! Hike to the top of Tom's Knob, or fish for trout in Laurel Creek just down from the bottom of the driveway. Direct TV satellite dish with 32 inch stereo TV. DVD/VHS player, and a selection of DVD movies.
Activities for Children: Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park between Boone and Blowing Rock is open on weekends in the spring and fall and every day in the summer. We have fishing in local creeks and rivers, in Watauga Lake, and at Grandfather Trout Farm in Foscoe between Boone and Banner Elk where they will clean and smoke your rainbow trout immediately after you catch them. In the winter, there's skiing, sledding and ice skating at the local ski mountains. In the home, we have a collection of DVDs, puzzles, board games and children's books. There is a 20' TV with front hook-ups for video games in the bunk bed room. There is also a second DVD player in that room.
Other Items: Pet Friendly! Pets (up to 2) allowed. Pet fees are $50 for one and $75 for two (maximum) pets per week or portion thereof. Please be aware this is a 'dog friendly' neighborhood and there are several friendly dogs which may visit. 1/2 of rent due at least 60 days prior to arrival. Balance of rent and fees due at least 30 days prior to arrival. Personal checks accepted for deposit and rental if received at least two weeks before arrival. Within two weeks of arrival, please pay by postal money order, local bank cashier's check or credit card via PayPal. Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Early departures will not be refunded.
