Five minutes away is the laid back town of Pahoa where the sidewalks are wooden. Here you will find supermarket, gift shopping and many restaurants from Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, etc. A 15-minute drive will bring you to the gorgeous Ahalnui Beach Park where you can relax in the 90+ degree geothermal heat tide pool while listening to the surf crashing on the other side. Some of the best snorkeling can be found at Wai Opae tide pools in Kapoho just minutes from our home. Day trips include a visit to Volcanoes National Park, Waipio Valley, and Hilo. Just a 2 ½ hours drive and you can be on the other side of the island in Kailua-Kona.
Other Activities: Neighborhood park over looking ocean, great for whale watching
