Information about this house rental in Deer Isle
Woodberry is a comfortably furnished three story house. A living room with fireplace; dining area w/ table for eight; large, well-equipped kitchen with island and stools; master bedroom and a full bathroom fill the first floor.
Two bedrooms and one full bath are upstairs. The east bedroom has two twin beds. The west bedroom has a queen bed. A large bathroom is shared by these two bedrooms. All the bedrooms have water views.
Downstairs you'll find a washer/dryer, ironing board and iron, and portable grill, baby layette, collapsible crib and baby gate. Eventually there will be two more bedrooms, a bathroom and a den. The lower level is unfinished at present, but has an operable toilet.
The water side of the house has a deck with glass rails for an unobstructed view and a screened porch.
The house is wheelchair friendly w/ entrance ramp and 3' wide doors on first floor; not handicap accessible in the legal sense.

Woodberry is located on the NW side of the island. Beautiful sunsets. Our cottage is set off the road about 800 feet so you don't see or hear cars on Dunham Point Road.
Our area is typical Maine woods with mostly summer residences tucked away along the shore. We have one neighbor within view, but are unaware of their comings and goings.
A 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk will bring you to the dock at Sylvesters Cove. During the summer you can sit and watch fishing boats come and go and meet local summer residents. There's a tidal pool to the right near the beginning of the dock's boardwalk that's fun and safe for toddlers. Sylvesters Cove has a lovely beach for the bold swimmers in your group.
If you kayak, you can put in easily at the cove for some Penobscot Bay kayaking.
We are members of the Sylvesters Cove Yacht Club, and as our guests you have access to the dock.

There is no television reception at our house (isn't it wonderful!). The TV is for viewing movies. We have a collection for children and adults at the house with more available for rent from Burnt Cove Market about 6 miles away on Route 15A.
Cell phone reception is spotty.
