The shipswatch is the highest point on the street, giving amazing views of Park, ocean and sound. Waves is a quiet town on the Northern end of Hatteras Island, still close to shopping and amusements just 10 minutes away for kids. Fishermen will not need a boat to catch panfish in the surf all summer.
Most vacationers cook and eat at home in this area. Fishing tackle and water sports equipment are sold in multiple locations within 10 minutes drive, including custom shops. Nags Head is 25 minutes away for golf, outlet shopping and dozens of restaurants. Hatteras Lighthouse and the ferry to other islands are 30 minutes south of the property. The National Seashore and Pea Island Wildlife Refuge offer great hiking, swimming and bird watching 10 minutes drive away.
