Sights to See: The rural Puna area is lush and green, with many papaya orchards and horse ranches. You will see the amazing tunnel of trees, Lava Tree Park and fields of old lava as you enter. There are no high rises here! The nights are black and the stars are brilliant. Evening rains keep the air fresh and the tropical plants green. Relax as you breath in the 'freshest air in the world', according to scientists. You can swim with the sea turtles in Champagne Pond or kayak in the bay. Or, surf and boogie board with the locals down the road at Isaac Hale Park and Pohoiki Bay. Or try your hand at fishing or spearfishing. Golf courses are less than 30 minutes - how about golfing on top of a real volcano? Maybe try spelunking - exploring the large lava tubes in the area. Or just sit back on the deck and listen to the waves crash close by while sipping on a cool drink. This will be a Hawaiian vacation like none other!
