Skiing at Catamount or Butternut (about 15 miles), cross country skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, walking, picnics, Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, Berkshire Choral Festival, Hancock Shaker Village, Sheffield Historical Society, various music performances, summer stock plays, cultural events, antiquing, camping, historical sites, galleries, museums, pottery, glass, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Jacobs Pillow, Appalachian Trail, Triplex Cinema in town, great restaurants. Good sushi places, Mexican food, and everything in-between. The Berkshires are sophisticated and at the same time casual and laid back.
