Driving Conditions/Drive Way: All but the last 800 feet of the driveway are well maintained paved roads and completely accessible. We have gone to great lengths to make the cabin accessible, but we can not guarantee your vehicle will have traction necessary to pull you up our steep gravel driveway. Therefore, we HIGHLY recommend 4 wheel drive. If you do experience slipping on the gravel drive we ask that you do not force it - thereby creating ruts and loosening the gravel for future renters. The ruts eventually fill with rain water runoff and can create less than friendly driving conditions. Instead we ask that you park at the bottom and walk the short distance to the cabin. This is a typical request for mountain cabins - and not an unreasonable expectation. Again - all but the last 800 feet of the driveway are well maintained paved roads and completely accessible. We are in the mountains, therefore curvy, steep roads are the norm. Drive with caution you 'Florida Gaters!'

Renting Online: If you're reading this then you're ahead of the game when it comes to online renting. We have tried to make the process as simple as possible. When we were building our own cabin we rented through the internet dozens of cabins and each had their own system of record keeping, deposits, fees, etc. Once we have been contacted through this 'Make a reservation' or 'Contact the owner' process - we'll email you back a few files (Microsoft Word Documents) that contain our rental rules and a reservation request. You'll then have to respond and accept the terms. An email back with the phrase, 'we accept the terms of the rental agreement' is considered adequate. You will then receive a second email from me with the credit card link - or a link to use Paypal. Once we have received confirmation of the payment we will email you a very detailed set of directions to the cabin and the key box code for entry into the cabin.
