There is also a $350.00 security deposit required at time of final payment which is due 2 weeks prior to occupancy date. This security deposit of $350.00 will be refunded within 2 weeks of the last day of the rental period.

Peace and Tranquility, yet close to everything: Brum Chalet is located in the small town of Otter Creek, so when you come back from your busy day of hiking, walking, shopping or just lounging on the rocks at the ocean, you can feel the privacy and mellowness that our home offers. There are hikes from our driveway that are not listed in the guide books.
Wide Range of Activites: Mount Desert Island offers a wide variety of things to do, for adults, teens, and young children. Rent bicycles and ride the carriage roads. No cars allowed. Go on a whale watch or sunset sail. Hike the Beehive (strenuous) or Gorham Mountain (good for kids). There are too many hikes to name them all. All that information is on our counter in the kitchen. There are several A-One golf courses, one of course being Kebo Valley (3miles away). Take a kayak adventure with an outfitter, have dinner out at some great local restaurants. There are museums that tell the history of the island and its people and the Acadia National Park offers walks, bird watching, and movies at Blackwoods campground one mile away.
Directions to Brum Chalet: From Ellsworth Maine-Take route 3 thru Bar Harbor toward Otter Creek. Turn left on Grover Avenue. Grover Avenue turns into a gravel road. Follow gravel road to Pooh's Corner, Land of Oz Lane, turn up driveway to first drive #5 you will see Brum Chalet.
