Regarding Pets: After much consideration, we have decided not to allow pets in our property. Most pets are well behaved, we know, and certainly, many people love to travel with their pets. However, in our experience both personally, and in business, the incidence of allergic reaction to dander is prevalent. So for those with allergies we have established a permanent policy of NO Pets Allowed. Please understand our position, and know we do personally love pets. Our property is NO SMOKING, as well.

Rules of the house:: Good quality linens and towels are provided. Please leave all used linens in a bag by the door for the housekeeper upon your departure, and make sure the cottage is left in the same condition in which you found it. Deposit will be returned as soon as we are advised by the housekeepers that the cottage is in good order. If something is inadvertently broken, please advise us right away.

Occupancy:: The property is best suited for two adults. No one under the age of 21 is allowed to rent without a parent on premises. Although we want everyone to enjoy themselves, this is a small neighborhood where everyone sleeps with the windows open, so partying and/or playing of loud music or TV after a reasonable hour is not appreciated. Our neighbors are kind and friendly people whose quiet enjoyment of their property we respect. We hope you have a great vacation with us, and will want to return.

Ski: We've had a wonderful season - only a few weeks remail available: Aug 30-Sept.6 (labor day) and Sept. 13-20, Sept. 27-Oct. 4 . Take advantage of September's lower rates, absence of crowds, more moderate temperatures, this month has become one of our most popular times of the season. A great time for the empty nesters! The wonderful month of September in Maine is the beginning of our 'leaf Peeping' Season.... Take advantage of the shoulder season without the crowds. Businesses are still open, and the foliage is spectacular.

Golf: At the northern entrance to Southwest Harbor, just off Rt. 102 is the CauseWay Golf Club. A summertime center of recreational activities including golf, tennis and swimming. A great family gathering place where one can wile away a fine summer day on the links or courts. Tennis courts are available also at the Claremont Hotel located on Clark Point Road. Just call for rates & times. Tennis is also available at the Harbor House and the Claremont Hotel. Reservations may be made , and some free drop-in sets are available at Harbor House. All facilities are in Southwest Harbor.

Guest Book: We loved it! Definitely we are returning next year - The space was convenient, comfortable, very attractive, and every need was provided by thoughtful hosts, from local museum tickets, to wonderful first breakfast of scones.
