Fun Things To Do In The Area: The Lake Champlain area of Vermont and upstate New York offers many activities including biking, hiking, boating, sailing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, leaf peeping, golfing, antiquing, exploring, and learning. There are several ways to enjoy boating, sailing, or cruising the waters of Lake Champlain. You can hand-launch our row boat or your own small craft at our sandy beach. Or you can trailer your boat, and launch it at the boat ramp here in Long Point. You can rent a boat at a marina; or you can take a ferry trip across to New York with your car or bicycle. You can also enjoy any of several cruise options from the Burlington Waterfront, including dinner and sailing cruises.
