East Chop waterfront cottage on Oak Bluffs Harbor with small private beach & outrageous View!!. Short 4 minute walk to the barrier beach for ocean swimming (can be seen from the house) Every room has waterview, except baths! You will have front row seats to view all the fun on Oak Bluffs Harbor! The views & location are simply spectacular! You can come w/ or w/o a car because it is close to everything - ferries, auto/bike rentals, cabs, public trans. Oak Bluffs is the center of action on MV. Nightlife, fine or family dining, bars, dancing, beaches, parks, movies, boat rentals, charter fishing, liquor store, grocery store, library are all a short walk away. This is a rare opportunity to rent a home in this location because it is 1 of only 10 homes on the harbor & most are private! We are long time (25 yrs) business owners in town, & have lived here most of our lives & will do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. We are available to answer questions & take care of the home.

Stormy days are fun too, as you sit inside & watch the waves break on the jetty across the harbor! Note which way the wind is blowing & visit a windward beach to watch the show. Foggy mornings are wonderful too. So many Island moods to enjoy! Learn To: sail/windsurf/kayak. Rent: a sailboat/kayak/powerboat/jetski /bike/moped/car Charter: sail or fishing boat. Tours: by bus around the island, kayak in remote inland waterways. Hike: pristine conservation properties. Rollerblade on scenic state beach bike path or in State Forest Drive To: State beach (a calm family beach) south beach (open ocean w/ big waves) or the Cliffs at Aquinnah (formerly Gay Head), fishing village of Menemsha, whaling town of Edgartown, island lighthouses.
