Golf, Sailing, and Hiking: There are many golf courses within a half hour in Sydney area to forty five minute drive on the Bra Dor Lake. Ingonish is also a possibility. The Cabot Trail is one of the most picturesque areas of Canada and offers beautiful landscapes, plenty of flowers, birds, and other wildlife. You most likely will see Bald Eagles and possibly a Moose on one of the trail areas. The Bra Dor Lakes offer one of the finest sailing and fishing areas. There are some sailboats available for rental in Baddeck. Kayaking is also big and there are a number of places to rent kayaks or canoes.
Canoe Availability: Canoe and life preservers are available for an additional $50.00/ day or $200.00 per week on our property with waiver of any liability.
Other Attractions: Rent a kayak or sailboat in Baddeck, Go to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, Listen to the Men of the Deep or travel around the Cabot Trail. Stop at the Gaelic College and hear bagpipes or possibly take in a show. There are also spectacular beaches and boardwalks and plenty of nature and landscape to see. Light houses are one of our favorites. The Wildlife Park is only a few miles away and the Glace Bay museums and Mine are close by. Better yet relax and possibly have a barn fire or clam bake after digging your own clams. Speak to us about the wonderful possibilities.
