You will find a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. You can eat in the kitchen or take your meal out onto the covered deck and enjoy streamside dining. The covered porch is equipped with a patio set including 4 chairs and a charcoal grill. The Creekside covered porch is another room in itself, allowing comfort and shade from the elements. The large bathroom has a tub and shower along with a full-size washer and dryer. Caleb's is a one of a kind mountain getaway. Come for a romantic weekend, or bring the whole family along for an unforgettable family vacation. Either way you're sure to want to come back to Caleb's Country Cabin year after year. Pet Lovers: Sorry but our son has a severe allergic reaction after being around animals.
Extras: Free use of our linens, plush robes, coffee, and large selection of DVDs. We just ask that you leave it as you found it when you leave-clean and in order. The linens should be washed and dried, the maid will do the rest. We do have satellite (Family package plus local networks) We have lots of movies and half hour shows on DVD. There's also a large selection of CD's you can play on the walkman or the TV. But if you are into reading we do have books there for those who like to read. Wireless internet works inside/outside cabin. Gamecube with some fun games and two controllers! In all you will find over 75 pieces of media (DVDs,CDs,books)
Kick back in the hot tub and listen to the rushing stream *Trout fish in a stocked trout stream *Hike the many trails at Grayson Highland State Park and possibly see the wild ponies *Horseback riding *Hike or bike the Virginia Creeper Trail *Bicycle rentals on Railroad Grade Road *Tweetsie Railroad- frontier based amusement park for kids of all ages *Grandfather Mountain- try your luck on the mile high swinging bridge or hike the trails *Linville Falls- spectacular! *Rafting or tubing on the New River- there are many canoe and tube rental liveries in Ashe County *Skiing- available in neighboring Watauga and Avery Counties *Seasonal Bluegrass in Todd & Glendale Springs *Golf- West Jefferson, Boone and Valle Crucis all have excellent and reasonably priced courses *Blowing Rock Theatre *Parkway Movie Theatre (West Jefferson)- first run movies for $5/person *Church of the Frescoes- West Jefferson and Glendale Springs *New River Zoo- Fleetwood *Ashe Cheese Company- watch cheese being made
