Further details about this house rental
Located in the beautiful and quiet 6th district, the house is about 20 minutes from the Navy Submarine Base, 10 minutes to Connecticut College and about 1 mile from Mitchell College. The District - New London's downtown area only 2 miles away- has galleries, restaurants and shops. It's a great place to come for coffee, lunch, or dinner, sit outside and relax watching the boats and the people.
The private beach - about a 2 minute walk - is yours to enjoy complete with beach attendants, raft, bathrooms and outdoor cold showers. The house has plenty of beach towels and extra beach chairs.
Bring your bikes or use the couple in the garage to get an ice cream cone at Michael's Dairy, sit outside at Fred's Shanty, dine alfresco at On the Waterfront restaurant all without getting in your car. The high speed block island ferry terminal is about about 2 1/2 miles away.It makes a great day trip with or without bikes.
