Perfect for large gatherings of family and friends: Shore Haven is an ideal location for gatherings of family and friends for holidays or special occasions such as weddings, reunions, anniversaries. A unique experience of the sea and nature with lots of room to spread out, indoors and out. We are directly on the ocean (Minas Basin), with miles of hard red sand/pebble beach that can be walked or jogged (or carry your mountain bike down and ride for miles and miles) and at low tide there is a captivating vast sweep of sculpted, walk-able tidal sands. There is private access to the beach along a path to the shore and down a short flight of stairs (vertical height of 8 or 9 feet). Guests can relax with such activities as long walks on the beach in an area famous for fossils and rock specimens (including amethyst crystals), and ocean swimming. The beach, the sea, the woodlands, Evangeline and Trout Pool Brooks, the birds and animals and an amazing evening sky offer so many opportunities for being “re-created” and restored by nature.

Lots to do without leaving home: Endless hours of enjoyment & relaxation are available on the miles of beach, the meadows, brooks & woodlands on this peaceful 60 acres. Fabulous open-air and/or glassed-in sea view of the world's highest tides, indoor & outdoor games (croquet, badminton, volleyball, ping pong table). Fish for sea bass right on our beach and cook it up in the gourmet kitchen. Relax in the sun on the deck while listening to the roar of the surf. Wonder at the soaring eagles over-head, fly kites on the meadow, walk the beach for miles.

Ski: The beaches, villages and rich farmland of the spectacular “Noel Shore” are just moments away. Golf: Golf all day Minas View Links for $20 Canadian, fabulous seaside setting, golf carts available, only 15 minutes away. There are more than 20 excellent golf courses within 1 hours easy drive of Shore Haven House by the Sea, a great opportunity to travel with friends for a golfing vacation but still have excellent private accommodation. The meadows provide an excellent spot for practice shots, and after a long day on the course enjoy the ocean-view deck or a moonlight stroll on the beach.
