Pristine surroundings: Casa Bambu is a unique “Swiss Family Robinson” house situated in the midst of an incredible rainforest, right on beautiful Pan Dulce beach. (More often than not you won’t see one set of footprints on this glorious beach!) The view from the porch looks out on the magnificent Golfo Dulce and, further in the distance, the Punto Banco mountains and Volcan, a dormant volcano in Panama. Home to four types of monkey, hundreds of bird species, sloth, iguana, anteaters, iridescent butterflies and myriad varieties of vegetation, this magical area offers the rare opportunity to experience nature at its most spectacular and unspoiled. From your porch see macaw and toucan fly by and monkeys swing past through the forest canopy. Without leaving your front yard, enjoy spectacular sunrises over the Golfo Dulce, a pristine, secluded beach and shore fishing. Or venture out to marvelous waterfalls, deep-sea waters, rain forest trails and more breathtaking scenery and unspoiled sand and surf.

Bringing the outdoors in: Surrounding the house is a manicured lawn sweeping down to the beach. It is a tropical paradise of fragrant, flowering plants like ginger, halyconia, and hibiscus; and fruit trees, with delicious succulent mango, lime, breadfruit, pineapple, papaya and banana there for the picking (depending on the season). With only shuttered half walls and railings between you and the ocean breezes and gorgeous views, Casa Bambu brings the outdoors in. (Storm shutters are easily closed in case of rain). It is a rustic, yet very comfortable, handcrafted, open-air house that lets you escape the hustle of civilization and enjoy the countless natural wonders of this magical place.

Guest Book: I am hesitant to leave this review because I want to keep Casa Bambu a secret, however if you have the desire to travel to such a remote place then you deserve the wonderful experience of this awesome place! When we arrived at Casa Bambu it was like landing on a island in Paradise..the ocean and the rain forest and so much more..not to mention the Tico caretaker's who can show you so much about the area. It was an unbelievable experience. Also we would like to add that the owners, Kirk and Lyn, are the kindest and warmest people you could possibly meet!
