The Green Mountains provide the best skiing in the Northeast and a perfect setting for a sleigh ride at dusk. Exceptional and numerous hiking trails abound as well as rivers for canoeing or fly fishing. In autumn, the beautiful fall foliage season invites one to a day of biking or antiquing along the back roads, followed by a relaxing evening on the deck enjoying the mountain view. A casual dinner at one of the numerous excellent restaurants is a must. Visitor who have been to Stowe before, keep coming back. Once you visit you'll know why.
