Welcome to one of the closest vacation homes to Poipu Beach. Aikane (pronounced eye-KAH-nay) is Hawaiian for 'friendly' or 'house sharing' which best describes this ocean view beach house. This is an ideal choice for a couple, family or groups, especially those who enjoy staying by the beach but prefer the spaciousness, comfort, privacy and value of a quality vacation home. This is one of a handful of homes by Poipu Beach. No need to drive, just walk out the door about 60 yards to the ocean then along the coast past 4 homes to reach the first of a string of beaches and bays. The house is outfitted with boogie boards, masks, snorkels, coolers, beach umbrellas & towels, complete kitchen, videos, games, free wireless Internet access, DVD, VCR, CD, Kauai guide books, and lots more. Aikane Kauai Vacation Home is steps away from a string of beaches and bays. Poipu Beach Park has a protected lagoon, wide open grassy areas and playground equipment over a spongy ground surface. Poipu was voted the best kids' beach in the state by readers of Hawaii Magazine and the best beach in America (2003) by Travel Channel TV for its beauty, sandy bottom lagoon, sunsets, warm people, safety, climate, comforts, and other area activities. Adjacent Waiohai Bay offers superb snorkeling and for the more advanced, body surfing and boogie boarding at Brennecke's Beach and surfing on the outer reefs. There are also three surfing breaks within walking distance. Other area attractions include shopping, restaurants, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, sunset watching, shopping and 2 Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf courses (Kiahuna and the Poipu Bay Golf Course, home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf).

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- $240 to $300 per night or $1650 to $2100 per week

Rental rates are based on occupancy:
Number of Guests: 2 people: $240/nt or $1650/wk, 3 to 4 people: $255/nt or $1750/wk, 5 people: $270/nt or $1850/wk, 6 people: $285/nt or $1950/wk, and 7 people: $300/nt or $2000/wk.
Holiday Season $2400 per week (7 people max).
Stays longer than 7 nights are pro-rated at the weekly rate.
Add Hawaii state tax (11.42%) and cleaning fee ($150 or $195).
If your group includes 4 people or less you can rent just the upstairs. This gives you the lower cleaning rate. The first floor suite (3rd bedroom/bath) will be locked off but never be rented to another party.
Policies
Minimum Stay: 3 nights. Longer stays are highly recommended :)
Reservations: Phone or e-mail to confirm available dates. Courtesy reservations can be held for 2 days by your phone or e-mail request. -
Deposit: A $250 refundable security/damage deposit is required to confirm your reservations. Your deposit will be returned to you by mail or credited to your account within three weeks of departure, less extraordinary cleaning or damage exceeding normal wear, if any.
Occupancy: Limited to confirmed guests. Not sure about who's all coming? No problem. Your confirmation can be updated any time.
Payment: Kindly requested 90 days prior to your arrival. Traveler's, personal and business checks preferred. Mastercard, Visa and Paypal accepted.
Cancellations: Must be in writing by fax or e-mail. Deposits and payments are fully refundable less a $50 cancellation fee if cancellation is made at least 90 days prior to your planned arrival. Cancellation notification of less than 90 days may result in forfeiture of the rent. There will be no forfeiture if I am able to re-rent to another party for the period affected by the cancellation.

- Aikane Kauai sleeps from 2 to 7 comfortably. For the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, we have special doublers consisting of a lambs wool center piece and sturdy strap that goes around the twin mattresses horizontally to keep everything snug making for a very comfortable king size bed. Let me know your preference and I'll have everything set prior to arrival.
