Base Elevation: 1,260 ft. snow-making: 75% of terrain Lifts: 2 quads, 2 surface lifts Trails: 43 trails + glades, 180 acres; 25% 45% 30% Lift Tickets (2003-2004): $42 wkdy, $52 wknd\Holiday; teen/senior $39, $37; Child (6-12) $35, $28 Summary: Burke is located in Vermont's remote Northeast Kingdom and very seldom sees any crowds. Burke boasts 2,000 vertical feet, so it does offer some big mountain skiing without the big mountain hype. Burke is also home to the Burke Mountain Academy which has produced more Olympians than any other academy. Most of their trails are cut in the traditional New England style with plenty of twists and turns, but they also have some wide-open cruising. Although located in the northern Vermont snow belt, in past years they have been somewhat at the mercy of mother nature to provide them with consistent snow cover. But in recent years they have increased their snow-making ability
