- Regarding our fees: it is important to note that the Tax Rate of 6.75% is available to homeowners who rent directly to their guests. Rental companies renting over 5 properties must charge 11%. Our cleaning fee of $200 includes much more than just cleaning. Our housekeeping service provides towels, sheets and makes all the beds. If her cleaning is not up to your standards you are strongly urged to call her back in to make things right. We do not want you to start off you vacation on the wrong foot. Complaining after the fact is like closing the barn door AFTER the horses have gotten out. Her number is 910-358-1744 (Marie). There is a refundable $300 security and key deposit. Please note you can rent for a long weekend from October through April. The rate is at half the weekly rate. Weeks only from May through September. Holiday periods rent by the week only and have a surcharge of $200.
- Determining rental rates is by no means an exact science. We try very hard to compare our place with what else is on the market and price our rental rates accordingly. We urge you to do the same. If you would like a lower rental rate all that we ask is that you do your 'homework' and turn it into us. Give us the web site address of the property you are comparing us to. When comparing apples to apples we will make every attempt to beat the rate you have found.

The friendliness of Emerald Isle never ceases to amaze us. One’s children do not merely make summer acquaintances for a week or two, but form lifetime bonds. In selecting Emerald Isle for the location of our beach house, we kissed many toads before finding our Prince Charming. Our wish was for a beautiful beach that we could access by simply walking out our front door. Our wish has come true! Would you appreciate having a selection of restaurants with wonderfully prepared food? Would you like them to be close by with no long lines to contend with? (Are you already getting the idea that we’re quite picky?) As any sane woman will tell you, she does not go to the beach to clean house or to cook elaborate meals. We want to assure you that our cleaning service is second to none. You can have a picnic off of the floor without a blanket, having no fear of chowing down on a grain of sand. We wanted to make sure that we could invite plenty of friends and extended family.
Beach houses are for sharing, and our beach house is so big you may lose someone if you’re not careful. Imagine the luxury of having two living rooms, one for the children and one for the adults. Last but not least, Emerald Isle has all of the trimmings of most beach communities, but doesn’t overwhelm you and it keeps its prices to a manageable scale so there will be a few bills in your pocket book / wallet to get you home and to start saving for next year! Like all owners we try to put our best foot forward. To a certain degree we owners tend to embellish. When I use CyberRentals to find a place for my family and I.
